USER DATA SECURITY

SIA “LT Automotive” has taken all necessary measures to ensure the security of personal data and to prevent its unlawful disclosure to third parties.

During the visit and use of SIA “LT Automotive” store, the company may receive information containing personal data:
1.1. directly (name and surname, phone number, and e-mail address);
1.2. indirectly (e.g. by using cookies and other technical means to monitor the use of SIA “LT Automotive”).

The Buyer’s personal data is processed in accordance with the requirements of the Personal Data Protection Law and other laws of the Republic of Latvia regulating the processing and protection of personal data. In processing and storing Buyer’s personal data, SIA “LT Automotive” uses organizational and technical measures that ensure the protection of personal data from accidental or unlawful disclosure, alteration, as well as from any other unlawful processing.

By purchasing goods and services offered in the SIA “LT Automotive” online store, the Buyer agrees and allows SIA “LT Automotive” to register, enter, store, systematize, use, and otherwise process his/her personal data, as well as data that the Buyer may later provide to the Seller, to the extent necessary and for the following purposes:

  • data processing arising from Buyer’s orders, contractual obligations, or required for concluding a contract (transaction);

  • identification and accounting of Buyers;

  • sending commercial notifications (e-mail and/or SMS);

  • ensuring the fulfillment of other obligations arising from contractual agreements;

  • considering Buyer’s applications for purchasing goods on installment.

SIA “LT Automotive” ensures the protection and security of Buyer’s personal data, as well as its non-disclosure to third parties, to the extent required by the Personal Data Protection Law and other applicable Latvian legislation, except to the Seller’s partners providing delivery, financing, and services related to the online store, in the scope necessary for fulfilling contractual obligations.

The Buyer has the right to request the supplementation or correction of his/her personal data, as well as the cessation of its processing or destruction if the data is incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, or no longer necessary for the purposes of collection. The Buyer may independently change or delete entered data in his/her user account or inform SIA “LT Automotive”.

By submitting a justified written request, the Buyer has the right to receive information:

  • what information about the Buyer has been obtained, the source of the data, when the information was changed (if permitted by law);

  • for what purpose personal data has been processed, and details of data recipients;

  • whether data has been processed automatically.

Buyer’s personal data will be stored no longer than required by law. The Buyer may request deletion of his/her data at any time.

TERMS OF PURCHASE AND SALE

1. General provisions

These rules apply when concluding any agreements between the Seller and the Buyer. The Buyer must agree to these Rules and the Privacy Policy; otherwise, the order cannot be completed.

The contract between the Buyer and the Seller is considered concluded when the Buyer has paid for the goods. This agreement is regarded as a distance contract in accordance with the Consumer Rights Protection Law, Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 255 “Regulations on Distance Contracts” and related legislation.

If the order is not paid, the contract is not considered concluded. A minimum purchase amount of EUR 5 may apply, depending on supplier conditions.

SIA “LT Automotive” is entitled to amend these Rules by publishing updates on the Website. Changes take effect upon publication.

The Rules and any contracts between the Seller and Buyer are drafted and concluded in the state language.

2. Right of withdrawal

The Buyer has the right to exercise the right of withdrawal within 14 calendar days from the date of receipt of the goods and return the goods without indicating a reason, by completing the withdrawal form and delivering it together with the goods to the Seller’s office.

If more than 14 calendar days have passed since receipt of the goods, the conditions for withdrawal and return must be agreed with SIA “LT Automotive” by calling the phone number indicated on the website or writing to info@ltam.lv.

Upon exercising the right of withdrawal, the Buyer must return the goods within 14 calendar days of receipt. After this period, the Seller has the right to refuse the return.

In the event of withdrawal, the Buyer bears all expenses related to the return of the goods. Refunds are made using the same payment method as the Buyer used in the transaction, unless otherwise agreed.

If the returned goods are found to be used, damaged, dirty, otherwise exploited, or showing signs of assembly or use, the Seller has the right to refuse the return. Goods must be in their original packaging, undamaged and clean. Automotive electronics are not accepted for return. Special-order goods cannot be returned.

The right of withdrawal applies only to natural persons.

3. Warranty

All goods purchased from SIA “LT Automotive” are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. The Buyer has the right to submit a claim regarding non-conforming goods within 24 months of purchase.

If the returned goods are forwarded to the manufacturer for inspection, the process may take up to 90 days. During inspection, it is determined whether the issue is related to a manufacturing defect.

If a manufacturing defect is found and cannot be corrected, the purchase is canceled. The Buyer may exchange the goods or receive a refund.

SIA “LT Automotive” does not cover expenses arising from incorrect orders or product installation. The Buyer has the option to request a compatibility check of goods based on the vehicle identification number (VIN) before purchase. The Buyer is responsible for ensuring the suitability of the goods before installation.

The warranty does not apply if:

  • the goods are damaged due to improper use;

  • installation requirements specified by the manufacturer were not followed;

  • the defect occurred due to the influence of other vehicle components.

To receive warranty service, the Buyer must submit a claim including Buyer’s name, address, order date, part number, order number, and a description of the defect. Documents must be submitted at the SIA “LT Automotive” office or sent to info@ltam.lv.

A purchase document must be presented to receive warranty service.

4. Claims and disputes

All disputes and claims regarding the performance, interpretation, or termination of the Distance Contract are resolved through mutual negotiations. SIA “LT Automotive” will respond to requests in accordance with legislation and seek the most appropriate solution.

If disputes cannot be resolved by negotiation, the Buyer as a consumer has the right to bring a claim before the court of the Republic of Latvia.
